  • Rates include Insurance, VAT, Theft Cover & Unlimited Miles unless stated below.
  • Insurance is subject to an excess depending on vehiche category and rate plan.
  • Deposits are required at time of collection depending on Vehicle category and rate plan.
  • Additional charges will apply for continental use, out of hours etc
  • Local mileage restrictions may apply depending on rate plan.
  • Vehicle models are only examples and specific car manufacturers or models can not be guaranteed.

  • Please note that all on-line reservations are subject to a 20% of the total booking non-refundable deposit.
  • The 'New style' licence is only valid with the paper counter part

Important Notice

You must have held a full licence for at least 12 months  and have a good driving record. Please contact the Rental Location if you have any licence endorsements, or if you have had an accident in the last 3 years; we may still be able to hire to you in these circumstances and shall do our best to help.


When collecting your car, the Lead Driver must present

  • 2 forms of ID (passport, utilities bill, etc) plus
  • a valid Major Credit Card in their name, for all charges incl fuel, excess deposit, etc, plus
  • a valid driving licence (both parts of the new UK Licence are required).
  • Providing two telephone numbers.

Age Policy

For all rentals within the UK, the standard insurance age range is 25 to 70. If you fall outside this age range please read the following:

Under 25

21-22 year olds may rent small vehicles, only if the renter:

  • Has never been prosecuted for any endorsed traffic offence
  • Has a minimum of 24 months driving experience (please refer carefully to your driving licence)
  • 23-24 year olds must have a minimum of 12 months driving experience. There are also restrictions on the size of vehicle you can rent.

Over 70 (71-75)

We should be able to rent you a vehicle subject to checking your medical condition with our insurer's terms and conditions. Please contact Anderson Self Drive for more information.

76+

It is unlikely that we can rent any vehicle to you. However, if you have previously rented from Anderson Self Drive before reaching your 76th year, we may be able to help you as a re-renter, but we will need to refer this to our insurer. Please contact  Anderson Self Drive  for more information, with details of your previous rental.
